
1. What is the rental timeframe?
All rentals are for an 8 hour period. This includes your set-up and breakdown time.

2. What is the venue capacity?
Cranford House is handicapped accessible with elevator access to the event space. The maximum capacity of Cranford House is 100 people for a stand up reception, 75 people theater style, 75 people for a sit-down dinner and 60 people for a wedding and reception (with a room flip).

3. Am I allowed to bring in my own food or caterer?
Yes! Since Cranford House does hot have in-house catering, our experienced Club Manager will work with you and your caterer to achieve the perfect event. All caterers must supply proof of their liability insurance, a valid Health Department permit and a current business license.

4. Are we allowed to serve alcoholic beverages at your venue?
Yes! To serve and/or sell alcoholic beverages, you or your caterer must obtain a one-day Alcoholic Beverage Control License from the District of Columbia Government.

5. Where do we park at Cranford House?
Due to our location on a quiet street on historic Embassy Row, on-street parking in the vicinity of the club is very limited. Cranford House does not guarantee parking. Garage parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Hilton Embassy Row (Massachusetts Avenue between 20th and 21st Streets) and the Westin Embassy Row Resort (Corner of Massachusetts Avenue and 21st Street). Valet services are available for an additional fee.

6. Is there any service staff that work at the club to assist with set-up and break-down?
Although we will do the initial set-up of our equipment for your event, any rental equipment or equipment movement during the event is the responsibility of the client.

7. Do you require a deposit?
A non-refundable deposit of $500.00 is required at the time a reservation is made to guarantee your date. This deposit will be credited towards your final rental cost. All events also require a $500 security deposit payable at least four weeks in advance. The security deposit or any portion thereof may be forfeited for damage beyond reasonable wear and tear or failure to abide by any house rule. We also require a clean-up deposit payable four weeks in advance, $500 for weddings and $250 for all other events. The clean-up deposit or any portion thereof may be forfeited if the venue is not cleaned appropriately.
8. What is included in the rental?
Cranford House is handicapped accessible. Rentals also include five (5) 36” round tables, three (3) 6’ banquet tables, sixty (60) banquet chairs and nine (9) dining room chairs. Our audio-visual equipment includes a podium with microphone, stereo and projection screen. Cranford House is also Wi-Fi© enabled.
